Dr. Artés-Rodríguez is a Full Professor of the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at Universidad Carlos III University of Madrid since 2002, where he established the Signal Processing Group and helped build the team to more than 30 researchers (academic staff, postdocs and PhD students). He has previously held different teaching positions at University of Vigo, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Universidad de Alcalá. He has also been a visiting professor at McMaster University (1997), Cornell University (2003), and the University of Cambridge (2013-14).

Antonio Artés has been the advisor of 27 Doctoral Thesis. He has authored over 100 journal papers and 130 international conference papers, 1 book, 5 book chapters and holds 2 Patents. He has participated in 39 international and national grants and R&D funded projects, 15 of them as PI and in 70 R&D funded contracts, 52 of them as PI. In 2017, Antonio Artés founded the start-up Evidence Based Behaviour (EB2) devoted to the development and commercialization of mHealth solutions for real-time health status monitoring in mental health and well-being.

He is also affiliated to the Health Research Institute Gregorio Marañón and CIBERSAM and is currently Co-director of ELLIS Unit Madrid. Total citations of 5495, i10 Index is 129 and the Hirsch h-index is 36 (Google Scholar, Sept. 2025).
